Overview

Learning outcome:

The learning outcome of this topic helps us to find out how old the indian history dates back and understand the traditional and religious values of India.It helps us to learn some important aspects of indian culture.The mahabharat teaches us how to stand on the right path of life called “dharma”.

Target audience :

The target audience are people who are interested in the history and those who like to learn different culture and their values.People who like to do research will be pretty much interested in this kind of topic as it needs lots of research and there is a lot to learn from this and it will very interesting for them.Its is a vast area to deal with. Mahabharata is one the sanskrit epics in India and it dates back older than greek and eygptians.There is a lot to discuss and talk about it. People who are really into the research of history and culture will be really happy to learn about this.

Possible solutions to deliver:

WordPress: Word press is a free and open source content management system (CMS).It is a software through which we can create a beautiful website blog or app.WordPress consolidates effortlessness for clients and distributers with in the engine many-sided quality for designers. This makes it adaptable while as yet being anything but difficult to-use.Word press is known for its simplicity, flexibility, and publish in ease.

Wikieducator:WikiEducator is a group venture working cooperatively with the free culture movement towards incremental improvement of open instructive assets.WikiEducator is a developing free content for use in school ,polytechnics and university for education and information purposes.It contains media wiki and lot more information which can be shared buy the students and Students get to modify the information available on wiki which everyone can see.We can learn different wiki codes through which we can edit the wiki educator and it’s really useful.

You tube video tutorials: You tube is a interesting way of delivering the information to the students.In this kind of tutorials the mode of understanding will be through video which is very easy to understand step by step. You tube has interactive comments session which makes interesting for the users.

Preferred solution:

The preferred solution is WordPress.The word press is a free and open source content management system(CMG). It is also a cloud based system were u can have all your works loaded in the site, so that when ever we want we can login and continue our work.The word press is mainly known for its simplicity and ease of use. Publishing a blog or adding apps widgets or theme to it is really easy and even we can add video to the wordpress as it supports a lot of plugging.The word press also have an interactive comments section to its site through which people can interact with in there blog.The main reason to choose the wordpress is

  1. Simplicity
  2. flexibility
  3. It is a cloud base.
  4. Easy installation and update.
  5. For teaching this is the best way to interact with the students
  6. Video elements are supported and also has an interactive comments section which makes the learning section more interesting.

Methodology:

There are different types of teaching methodologies including

  1. ADDIE
  2. OTARA
  3. RAPID Prototyping

RAPID Prototyping:

Rapid prototyping is self explanatory.During this process a number of designs are created and its not interactive.So didn’t choose Rapid prototyping.

OTARA Methodology:

The OTARA model as a movement focused outline structure that you can use for the projects and courses,and it gives an answer for steady,successful,and reusable learning plans.The best methodology for developing this kind of leaning outcomes is OTARA.This methodology is clear,simple, and easy to understand(wikieducator, 2015).

Preliminary design:

The design presentation that i am using here is OTARA type of methodology.I am using this because it is the simplest way of designing a learning structure and its easy to understand.

This gives the student a more easier way to go through the content and finish it easily.The Otara methodology is the simplest way of learning.

Kurukshetra

This shows the history and the scientific proof of mahabharat. How old it dates back and the technique they used in the war.

The Guru diagram:

Activity 8.2

What i have learnt through digital learning technology:

  1. DLT is really an interesting subject as it as technology based learning where we used all the modern technology for learning and understanding the subject.
  2. I never created a blog or used it. But now i have ma blog in word press and blogger and i know how blogging works which i learnt from this class.And this is really useful.
  3. I learnt about wiki educator and how to add rss feeds and how to manange wiki buy using small commands from the super quick wiki guide.

What i liked  in the class:

  1. The virtual class using adobe connect is really amazing which i was the best part of the class
  2. I liked the way Dr.Michael Verhaart engages and manages the class and makes the class interesting.
  3. Guest lecture and the field trip to explore the limits of digital learning was really a fun and liked it.Its a new way of understanding the subject.

Things that could have improved in the class:

Everything was perfect in the class and our professor was really helpful and explained us everything clearly.

Activity 7.1

Mobile and digital learning technology  field trip:

Today we went went on a field trip to push the boundaries of digital learning.Getting away from the wifi zone and using only the mobile data to connect with adobe connect.Through which our lecturer Michael Verhaart took the virtual class for the students who are online.

We had to go up all the way through the mountains , logs ,and beautiful secenaires. There was a log cabin which was turned into a house that was suitable for living.This idea was carried out buy Mazin Bahho.Mazin Bahho is a senior lecturer of design at EIT’s idea school.As a part of his Phd project they changed the log’s into house.This project was carrier out to see how people can live eco friendly and use our natural resources.

As  digital learning students we went up the hill to push the limits of the technology we use. Mobile phones were used inorder to connect to the adobe connect.We were using the 3G and 2G data.The mobile signals were so weak that the mobile data was switching between.Our lecture Michael Verhaart was able to connect to the adobe connect and take virtual class for the students who were at home.The whole session was recorded although there where some difficulties like, voice was lagging behind and the video recorded was slow etc.

The adobe connect was functioning pretty good and all the features were also working.The whole session is recorded ,the chat function was working.The steaming of the video was also good .

Altogether it was a great experience to put all our DLT technologies to the extreme push.The whole class was taken outside the class and we were connected only through our mobiles which is a amazing fact.This explains that DLT is one of the advanced medium of studying.

e-Portfolio:

 

e-portfolio is an electronic formate for the students inorder to record the work,achievements and goals.It encourages the student to present their subject in a different formate.Inorder to share the information between the schools.

The uses of e-portfolioi is that lectures can participate and give feedback to students work or journal,which will help them to have a good rapo with the lecturers.Students can also make a record of their work and they can evaluate their performance.

Facebook is the leading social media site which is used for learning,expanding business,promoting products or creating a social awareness.Lets us take an university or a high school,where lecturers can create a page for their own subject and connect with all the students in the class and share document and subject information.This way students can easily get in contact with the professors and can be up to date on the subjects.

Activity 5.1.4

PLN is a self learning environment were students learn their subjects with their own research and over come the hurdles and difficulties they face with their own solution.This allows them to face the real world problems and makes them more practical to approach the problems.In my perspective view the PLN is a advanced learning platform where students can share their ides over a large network and get a chance to interact with other students and professors.
